Tantalum Carbide TaC Coated Cover
The Tantalum Carbide (TaC) Coated Cover from Semixlab is designed to ensure thermal stability and cleanliness in semiconductor epitaxy environments. Engineered specifically for Si, SiC, and GaN epitaxial reactor platforms, the TaC coated surface withstands extreme temperatures and aggressive chemical atmospheres, minimizing particle generation and chamber erosion. By maintaining a stable internal boundary surface and reducing contamination points, this coating supports consistent epitaxial layer quality, extended tool uptime, and improved wafer yield across high-volume semiconductor production. We welcome your inquiry.
Description
As a leading Chinese manufacturer of Tantalum Carbide (TaC) coated covers,
Semixlab’s TaC coated cover plates are designed for advanced semiconductor
epitaxial growth environments. In these environments, temperature, chemical
stability, and contamination control are critical factors determining device
yield. These coated covers are specifically designed for Si, SiC, and GaN
epitaxial reactors, acting as a crucial sealing and shielding layer within the
reaction chamber, protecting internal surfaces from corrosion and particulate
contamination.
Semiconductor epitaxial growth, such as Si/SiC/GaN epitaxy, requires the
formation of defect-free thin films under extremely demanding process
conditions. Hydrogen, chlorine-based gases, ammonia, and hydrocarbon precursors
continuously react in chambers at temperatures often exceeding 1500°C.
Traditional chamber linings rapidly degrade under this chemical and thermal
stress, leading to particle shedding, metal contamination, and shortened
preventative maintenance intervals. Our TaC coated covers, with their ultra-high
melting point (approximately 3880°C), superior plasma and chemical resistance,
and dense, low-porosity coating structure, effectively suppress surface reaction
residues. This ensures a clean chamber interior, reducing defect formation
mechanisms such as particulates, surface pitting, and stacking fault propagation
on the wafer.
In epitaxial reactors, thermal uniformity and gas flow stability are
fundamental to wafer-to-wafer consistency. By maintaining structural integrity
and non-reactive boundary surfaces, the TaC coated covers help maintain chamber
symmetry and thermal equilibrium, ensuring uniform epitaxial layer growth and
dopant incorporation across multiple wafers. By minimizing contamination and
extending service life, fabs can achieve significant operational benefits:
reduced downtime, lower total cost of ownership, optimized equipment uptime, and
tighter process control.
Semixlab’s TaC coated covers are manufactured using advanced CVD Tantalum
Carbide coating deposition technology, microstructure adhesion control, and
precision metrology to ensure coating integrity, thickness uniformity, and
thermal shock resistance. The protective covers can be custom-designed for
furnaces, MOCVD, LPCVD, and vertical SiC/Si epitaxial platforms. We sincerely
look forward to becoming your long-term partner in China.
